Think of your budget as a map, not one track leading to one specific destination. You can change your route along the way as different obstacles and opportunities come up. Let's say you plan on getting married soon. Or perhaps you take on a new dream job that comes with a smaller salary. Or maybe you have another short-or long-term goal you need to save for. As these new priorities start to gain importance in your life, then it's time to reassess your budget to make sure you are spending and saving for what matters most to you. Think about your streaming service subscriptions or the number of times you eat at your favorite restaurant. These might be areas to cut back. Whatever spending adjustments you decide to make are OK. Just remember that a budget is all about having awareness and control of where your money is going. This is the key to financial confidence. Financial confidence doesn't mean being controlled by your budget. It means being in control of your budget.
